George thrives on bringing his natural resource management and government relations experience to support the long-term and sustainable success of Council Fire’s clients.  His work with government agencies, fisheries companies, and non-profit organizations leverages decades of experience and contemporary knowledge to provide insightful and forward-looking solutions. George works with Council Fire from Hallowell, Maine, where he’s lived for over 20 years, and now finds himself as the mayor of Maine’s smallest city.

George has over 30 years of experience in natural resource management, first working with state resource management agencies on fish and wildlife management, land conservation, and government relations.  For the last decade, he has supported a wide array of clients including the National Marine Fisheries Service, Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council, State of New York, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and the Northeast Regional Ocean Council.
