With his feet planted in the private sector, Clayton has kept his focus on making business a force for good throughout his career and has joined Council Fire with an eye to guiding organizations on their journey towards a more profitable and sustainable future. His experience building brands in the apparel and seafood industries both domestically and in Latin America has driven long-term, holistic success for the organizations he has been a part of. His lifelong passion for nature and outdoor pursuits drives his pursuit of healthier environments and communities.
Clayton has decades of private-sector management experience, overseeing Sales, Marketing, International Business, and driving sustainability initiatives for a number of global apparel brands including Vissla and Billabong. He has specific regional expertise in Latin America and is fluent in Spanish. He holds an MBA and an International Environmental Policy Masters degree from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and a BA in International Economics from UCLA.
