Based in Hallowell, Maine, George is an expert in the management of natural resources and marine fisheries at local, state, regional, national, and international levels.
George has more than 25 years' experience in strategic management consulting on marine fisheries and ocean policy. Among several positions, he served as Maine Commissioner of Marine Resources from 1998 - 2011, led the Interstate Fisheries Management Program of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission from 1995 to 1998, and previously served as Legislative Counsel at the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. George also received the Capt. David Hart Award from the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, the highest honor for service to Atlantic coast fisheries management.
