Based in Portland, Oregon, Dorothy has over 30 years of resource management experience with an emphasis on the marine sector.
Dorothy works with both private sector and public interest organizations on marine management issues both regionally in the Pacific and North Pacific and nationally. Since 2014, she has also served as a US Commissioner to the Western Central Pacific Fisheries Commission and a member of the Pacific Fisheries Management Council. With an undergraduate degree in oceanography and a master’s in marine resource management, her prior work experience includes working as staff at the University of Washington Oceanography Department and for the Pacific, North Pacific and Western Pacific Councils. She has also served on the PFMC's Trawl Individual Quota Committee as well as the Secretary of Commerce’s Marine Fisheries Advisory Committee.
