Internship Opportunities:

Council Fire is pleased to offer college seniors, law school and graduate school students and recent graduates the opportunity to learn the many facets of sustainability consulting from some of the sector’s leading experts. Individuals interested in communications, engineering, or environmental and/or social policy and science disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Our internship program assures involvement in all types of projects that produce positive economic, environmental and social impacts. Interns generally work out of our Annapolis office and play an active role in existing client engagements by participating in research, writing, event coordination and staffing, brainstorming, and planning activities. Past interns have found that they receive great work experience and solid professional training.

To be eligible for our internship program you must possess the following qualifications and personal skills:
  • Currently completing Senior Year in college or enrolled in law or graduate school
  • Strong academic record with a minimum B grade average.
  • Demonstrated interest in progressive business practices and/or environmental and social issues
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Personal commitment to challenging the status quo and making a difference in the way organizations pursue their missions
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate well with others
  • Ability to organize and manage tasks with a strong attention to detail
Intern applications are considered year-round. Intern selection is a competitive process involving a minimum of one personal interview.
